The use of FACTS devices in power systems has become increasingly popular recent years, as they offer a number benefits, including improved voltage profile, reduced losses, and increased system reliability safety. However, determining the optimal type, location, size can be challenging optimization problem, it involves mixed integer, nonlinear, nonconvex constraints. To address this issue, researchers have applied various techniques to determine configuration systems. paper provides an in-depth comprehensive review that been used published works field. classifies into four main groups: classical techniques, metaheuristic methods, analytic or hybrid methods. Classical are conventional approaches widely problems. Metaheuristic methods stochastic search algorithms effective for Analytic involve sensitivity analysis gradient-based techniques.
